He came to that conclusion after using the awesome power of math, in conjunction with biblical scripture. Although he incorrectly predicted the same thing back in 1994, I, for one, am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. After all, using an ancient, often mistranslated book to figure out the date on which the world will end is hard work, and nobody’s going to get it right the first time. If nothing else, he deserves our respect based on his sticktoitiveness alone !
