Yesterday on Wednesday of 10th August 2011 a tweet from the hacker group ‘Anonymous’ gone viral over Internet waking up all the facebook lovers and also who were against this social media giant because the hacker group said they are about to start an operation to kill the facebook on 5th November 2011 because this site saving every individual personal information means a hack in privacy.
According to hackers, facebook is the place where you can’t delete your profile completely and hence that directly affects every individual user personally that may lead to relationship dis-balance, financial loss or even more.
They have also posted a video/audio news at their YouTube channel about their operation facebook that will get launched on 5th of November also known as the ‘Guy Fawkes Night’ a revolutionary story also filmed in the movie ‘V For Vendetta’.
[ UPDATE ] Now today on 11th of August some of the participants of ‘Anonymous’ opposing the announcement making themself away tweeting -
“#OpFacebook is being organised by some Anons. This does not necessarily mean that all of #Anonymous agrees with it”.

If you will ask my personal view over this privacy stuff I will not go against facebook and join the group to shutdown their services but will make a community around the facebook for solving these challenges.

I hadn’t heard about this until I read your article. I am not one way or the other in terms of facebook. I think too many people are a little too addicted to it but to each their own. I do not however agree with hackers shutting down a site. Wonder how serious it is.
