I think distance learning is very helpful for rural students.
I feel like years ago, distance learning was looked down upon by the general prospective student demographic. Now, I feel like a lot of top-ranked institutes have proven that distance learning programs can deliver an education completely on par with traditional in-school programs, and more and more students are leaning towards it as an option. My concern, however, is that there are still many old-school employers and human resources managers that still look down on distance education. Even high-quality programs from schools like Penn State continue to be demonized as “not the real thing” by these individuals. How long do you think it’s going to take before the general employer population starts to embrace distance learning as so many students have?
Distance learning is a big concern for today’s generation, but I always prefer to do my distance learning courses from a top ranked institutes.
