According to Google they have developed “Mind the Gap” program for encouraging engineering in girl students who tends to be away from it when they comes to complete their teen age and joining some college for graduation.
They have written that after 80′s when computer science girl student were about 40% globally and after that we never saw that level means most of girls took it seriously to not to be computer engineer. Now Google says they need women engineers and ofcourse all the tech field requires their contribution so a group of female engineers from Google were working on this project since 2008 and now finally it came in media through their own blog.
Google quoted that girls are more than 50% of global population and then also only only 15% female shows their interest in Computer Science even in hi-tech Israel.
They said that after 3 years of their successful run of Mind the Gap Program they hosted more than 1,100 girls in their offices, 1,400 girls in three annual conferences in different universities, and they also said that these 2,500 girl students were from 100 different schools and all sectors who can be a good computer engineer in future.
