Today Bollywood’s first superstar Rajesh Khanna 69 year old, died at his bungalow ‘Aashirwad’, in Mumbai due to Kidney problems. He was a great person and great actor of Bollywood movies he won three Filmfare Best Actor Awards in his film career. He did 163 movies with lots of super hits, he was known for mostly romantic movies.

Surprise Dance Performance by Finnair on India’s Republic Day

It came as a total surprise for everyone when the air-hostesses and staff people of Finnair airlines danced on a Bollywood number on the occasion of India’s 63rd Republic Day. 26th January 2012-while every passenger boarded the flight 21 just as they do on other days, the Finnair flight crew members had something special in-store for them. finnair crew It was just another day for the passengers traveling from Helsinki to New Delhi through the Finnair flight. Just when everyone got seated, the Bollywood number “Deewangi Deewangi” from the movie “Om Shanti Om” started playing with the crew members of the flight dancing on the track. The performance lasted for about 3 minutes. There were about 50 crew members who performed and surprised one and all sitting in the flight at that time, and now probably, the whole world.

It all started with a message that flashed on the passengers’  on-seat video screens that read “Finnair congratulates India on Republic Day January 26 – clap your hands”. Just when everyone could actually realize what has happened, this startling performance began. The preparations and efforts of the crew members were clearly visible. They were all dressed in traditional Indian outfits and had complete coordination in the steps they performed. The attire of every crew members was impressive and they seemed happy while dancing; everyone had a smile on their face. It was an amazing view for the passengers to see the crew members shaking their legs, waving hands and dancing in a familiar style similar to what we see in Indian films. Passengers were seen to not only enjoy, but clap their hands, take pictures and record videos of the performance. When asked about who choreographed the performance, the Finnair officials told that it was all choreographed by one of their flight attendants itself, named Helena Kaartinen. When asked about this jig, she said that the idea came in her mind long back and it was not easy to coordinate the rehearsals. However, she was greatly helped by a friend of hers in Mumbai who works as a Bollywood dance teacher. Later on, when the passengers of the flight were asked about the experience, everyone seemed quite happy and impressed by the efforts of Finnair crew members. This has in-turn lead to huge popularity of the airlines. This was indeed a great token of universal love and friendship shown by the Finnair officials in honor of the Republic Day of India. What was more amazing to see were the blond crew members dancing on Indian beats. This possessed not only a way of cultural bonding but also lists Finnair as an entertaining brand from now on. Not only have they initiated a unique way of  set a trend for other airlines to do something similar in futureNot often do you see such a tribute paid to the citizens of a country and that too in a flight.
